New boss Mark Hughes needs that all important 1st win and a cup tie against league 1 opposition is a nice chance to get one.�

The Dons are 13 points behind Charlton so a place in the play offs is probably their aim this season rather than automatic promotion. They gave a good account of themselves in the 1st match and to be fair could have grabbed a second goal and knocked Rangers out. This is a good side, well organised with plenty of experience right through the team.�

Obviously Rangers are on a terrible run- thats why they have a new manager and Warnock was sacked- but i have to say this is a team with a lot of quality and some good attacking options. Rangers have been a little unlucky in a couple of recent epl games with refs decisions. Their home form simply has to improve though its one of the worst records in the league. Dont win home games there is no chance of staying up.�

Rangers will make a couple of changes having played on sunday but even so i expect them to have enough quality to win this one. A new manager has to get a win and build a bit of confidence the last thing he wants after a few days in the job is an embarrassing cup exit.�

I expect a fired up Rangers to take the field tonight and the epl side to book their place in the next round. With attacking options like Helguson, Campbell, Mackie, Boothroyd, Young, Macheda, Rangers should have too much for league 1 opposition.
