Both natonal teams won in the first round. Macedonia was superior against Turkey and the final score was 16:4. That was an excellent performance by every player. Coach Ivan Gocanin is satisfied how the players did the job. The best players were Letica and Randzic with four goals, but we can't forget Milanovic and Benic as they have scored two goals each. The other scorers were Ivovic, Racunica, Vuksanovic and Dimovski. Macedonia was leading 11:1 after the third period and coach Gocanin decided to keep the power for the next match, against Greece today. That is why Turkey escaped the catastrophe. Greece on other side have a very difficult match against the hosts. They won 14:12 at the end, but it is clear Netherlands players gave a big resistance. I am sure the Greek players are more tired then Macedonian. However, this match is more then a game. The players from both national teams will be extra motivated due to the political problems between two countries about the name issue. I believe Macedonia is able to make a small surprise here.
