Liverpool have a good record in this competition having won it 7 times. The manager has been taking this tourney very seriously- we all know he would love to win something in his 1st year back at the club- while other top clubs give youth a chance Liverpool have been picking a 1st 11.

With no european football the cups are vital for them as lets face it there is no chance of league win when you cant beat the promoted sides at home. Liverpool are though, better suited to counter attacking- as we seen recently with a terrific result at stamford bridge last week.

Chelsea have a lot of problems at the moment, manager under pressure due to poor results in EPL and CL, players getting older and looking short of desire. The manager is trying to change the style and make the side better to watch but thats very difficult when the entire defence looks short of quality and keeps gifting the softest of goals. Terry is out tonight- some might say thats no bad thing as his form is poor- but you wonder which player can step and take the captains role. They could really miss his leadership skills.

Its going to be tight but these are good odds on Liverpool to sneak another win. They are suited to playing Chelsea. Sit in let Chelsea attack and hit them on the break. Bellamy could well be the difference with his pace.
