Well Newcastle are sitting in the CL places now, unbeaten in their first 8 games after a very exciting 2-2 with Spurs on Sunday. It was a terrific second half that was end to end and while the manager may be a little worried about his defence, the attacking play was excellent. He has a good partnership up front with Best and Ba, pace on the right wing in Obertan and a player that loves to take people on, Gutierrez on the other side. Ameobi is a pretty good reserve striker too- what a goal he scored.�

7 goals in the last 3 games for the Toon they are playing with a lot of confidence and those fans are getting right behind the side. Im not sure about their defence but it doesnt seem to worry the manager he has said they will continue to attack in every game.�

Martinez is a manager i really like but im not so sure id be a huge fan if i supported Wigan. He us such a nice man and his sides play lovely football but im afraid their defence is absolutely woeful-they are too open at times. 13 lost in the last 5- and all 3 Bolton scored last week were due to Wigan players giving it away in their own half. They lost 3-0 at City and it really could have been double that.�

As i said they do try to play and make chances against every team they come up against. We have seen them score in 3 or the last 4 games and even when they didnt manage to find the net at Villa there should have been a Wigan penalty in that game and they forced 10 corners with plenty of second half pressure.�

Diame is a quality midfielder, his shooting his superb, that goal v Bolton was the best of the weekend.�

2 footballing side that are a little suspect at the back thats why i go for 3 goals or more. Set plays could be interesting, i would say these are possibly 2 of the worst sides at defending corners and cross balls so hopefully both sides delivery is decent.�

Should be a good game.�
