Just like Rangers, Celtic crashed out of europe in midweek and while their result possibly wasnt quite as bad its another year of no european football for Celtic and that means less cash to buy new players.

Having also lost to St J at parkhead we have an odd situation where both old firm managers are right under pressure. I think Celtic did play quite well in the Saints game but it was one of those days when the big side makes a dozen chances and that ball just wont go in.

We seen Celtic at their best in the previous home game as they took a very decent Utd side apart 5-1. Some of the football was excellent from midfield forward but that defence and keeper must still be a worry for the manager. Utd had plenty of chances to make it 2-2 before Celtic went on to hit 3 more goals.

I like the St Mirren manager hes totally changed how the side plays and sends the side out to attack and play a passing game. Its paid off with some good wins over Aberdeen and Hibs, and while they lost to top of the table Motherwell it was a very close game.

Teale is a great signing, Thompson too, but their main player in my view is McGowan. This lad can pass it and he adds some very nice late runs into the penalty area- i think he will cause Celtic problems.

Celtic are a good side for overs. Plenty of quality attacking players but some below average defender more so at centre back. The keeper is also far too nervous and scared of cross balls.

I think St Mirren are going to make a real game of this and while i take Celtic to sneak it i do believe it will be in a high scoring.
