The J league resumes after one week away with internationa football. And at this point of the season, nobody would expect Kashiwa and Yokohoma to occupy 2 of the top three places while perennial toppers Nagoya and Kashima are languishing far below. Although both teams did not fare too well in last week's Nabisco Cup, I am pretty sure both sides are focusing more on the league rather than the cup compeittions. The last tiem these two sides met in the division 1 season came in 2009 where both corresponding fixtures ended in stalemates.

Yokohoma are rather attacking minded in their approach and despite picking up the points in recent games, they can be very vulnerable when they over-run too far up the field. As evident, they have already conceded nine league goals at home in five matches. On the other side, Kashiwa have lightening quick players up front that could actually play into their hands while they play away from home. Although they will not be able to sustain their form throughout the bulk of the season, I still think that they are capable of picking off some of their opponents still. Expect the away side to pinch it here.
