Rangers can close in on the title with a win here but they will face a very dangerous d utd side that won at only a few weeks back.

The champions have hit top form in recent weeks with excellent high scoring wins in what looked like tough fixtures, 4-0 h v hearts, 5-0 away�at motherwell�and 4-0 up at tannidice against tonights opponents. With Jelavic on top form it is fair to say Rangers are strong favs to win the league now- just 2 more wins and there is nothing Celtic can do.

United did crush Motherwell at the weekend, and as i said won at ibrox on their last visit. They do have a very young exciting side�with a lot of pace and excellent movement. I would say on their day Utd are the most dangerous side outwith the old firm so this will be a tricky tie for Rangers.

Both sides have plenty of options in attack. Goodwillie, Swanson, Russell and Conway for Utd. Rangers have Jelavic best striker in the spl and also Naismith and Lafferty on very good form at the moment. There is goals and plenty of chances in both teams but neither defence is solid. Rangers will probably struggle with Utds pace out wide and to be honest i dont see the Utd centre backs being a match for Jelavic. He is the strongest player in Rangers side while the middle of defence is probably Utds weakest.

Everything points towards a high scoring entertaining game.
