I will start my preview with the last two mutual games played at Artemio Franchi. One game ended with Under 2.5 goals, while the other ended with Under 1.5 goals:

And I don't see how things could be different now. Sampdoria lost two best strikers during the January transfer period. Antonio Cassano was sold to Milan, while Pazzini to Inter. Yes, some new acquisitions was brought to the club, but they are not at the same level. Fiorentina on other side is playing a bad season. The ambitions were very big, but the results were poor. Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic was under big pressure most of the time. However, Fiorentina managed to win last Sunday against Palermo at Sicily. When it seems thing goes right direction, Fiorentina was defeated at Wednesday from Inter at home. Since both coaches have problems with the inujuries (Mihajlovic is without Vargas, Santana, Kroldrup, Jovetic and Frey, while Di Carlo is without Semioli and Pozzi, while Biabiany is doubtful), I think we can't expect some good and efficient game here.
