City will look to cut Utds lead at the top of the table but i dont see this being a great game of football.

Utd are clear favs for the title as none of the chasing pack really seem to be able to put in a consistant run of form. Its maybe not the highest standard of title race we have ever seen but it is making for quite an exciting race with 4 or 5 clubs still in with an outside chance. United though, having been over the course, are still the team to beat- but that was a very poor result last weekend as they lost to Wolves.

Their home record is outstanding though so it does not get any tougher for City.

The Blues are hanging in there. Some outstanding performances and wonderful football but also some iffy performances against some of the smaller clubs. Its certainly a fine squad they have there- well it should with the money spent- but the mangers does tend to be very cautious any time he comes up against the big boys. The 2 sides played out an awful 0-0 early in the season with very little attacking football.

Obviously Utd will attack at home though but id expect more of the same from City- the 4-5-1. Im sure we see quite a niggly game here with plenty of fouls and bookings. 5 yellows in such an important derby is not a lot so im going for a busy day for the ref rather than a score prediction.
