Ht Draw Ft Valencia

Santander are struggling again this season and very much in the battle to stay in Spains top division. Just 2 points between them and 3rd bottom Levante and with just 3 points splitting the bottom 4 places its going to very tight down there come the end of the season.

Santander are lowest scorers in the league- just 15 goals all season. Malaga have scored almost twice as many yet sit bottom of the table. Having said that Racing do have a very good defence. One of the best in the league actually. They are tough to score against- pretty tought to watch too- but i guess any team keeping them out at the back has a chance of picking up results.

Valenica have done superbly well this season despite the debt they are in and all the top players which were lost over the summer. A lot of pundits had them down for a relegation battle but having taken their place in the final�16 of the CL and very much in the running to qualify for that tourney again their fans will be delighted. There is a huge gap to the 2 big clubs in Spain but a 3rd place finish would be amazing.

This should be a low scoring game. Santander are going to play it very tight with 5 in midfield- a 0-0 would be a good result for them. Thats why i take the game to a draw at half time and Valencia to sneak it later on. They do have terrific forwards- Aduriz and Soldado- who only need one chance to pounce. I think these chances will come when the game opens up in the last 25 mins or so and defenders tire. Im thinking probably 1-0 Valencia here but a tight 1st half and Valencia to win it late on looks best bet.
