Everton enter this derby without Cahill (Asian Cup), Jagielka and Yakubu who has gone out on load last week. The Toffess took a break off from the league and thrashed Championship strugglers 5-1 away. However, one must note that they have not kept an away clean sheet for at least eight of their last matches which is a cause of concern. Liverpool though, welcome back Joe Cole, Fabio Aurelio and Glen Johnson to the starting eleven after their absence against Blackpool.

In the first half at Bloomfield Road, Liverpool matched the hosts in term of quality and posssession but as the game worn off, they were pegged back into their own territory. The main concern for the Reds this season has been their inability to string a solid 90minute performance together which has been so frustrating. Their defence looks out of sorts since Carragher sustaine his shoulder injury. Torres though seemed much interested in recent games and that is why I think there will be quite a few goals in this one here.
