Birmingham may have lost only three times at home for the whole of 2010 but I believe they are there for the taking on derby day. Traditionally, the Brummies have relied on their defensive capabilities to put points on their board. They are a team not particularly able to score hatfuls of goals and when things arent going their way, such a tactical method would backfire. Also, they did play in midweek against the Hammers and that must have taken its toll on their players who face this crucial match against thier arch rivals.

Villa on the other hand have had a whole week off and they must be reeling from their confidence-booster victory over Sheffield United. Albrighton and Young were the main outstanding candidates which tore apart the home side with their fast counter-attacking style. Aston Villa are more of a counter-attacking side and that is why at times, they benefit playing away from home. All last three matches between the two at Birmingham have ended in away wins. Dont bet against it again.
