Australia, South Korea and Bahrain will fight it out for the two spots in the group as whpping boys India, the lowest ranked team int eh competition, will find it tough to even score a point in the groiup stages. Besides this encounter between the Aussies and Koreans today, Bahrain look to have a walk in a park against the Indians later on which means a loss for either side in this game could be very detrimental. In their first� match, the Australians did brush aside a very naived Indian side, cruising to a 4-0 victory with relative ease; as for the South Koreans. they diapatched one of the favourites Bahrain 2-1.

In Asian football, Australia have been considered one of the powerhouses since their shift from Oceania. However, I still do think that they will los eout to the Japanese and South Koreans in terms of fitness and technical awareness. The Koreans are more comfortable with the ball at their feet and as long as they contain the even danagerous presence of Cahill from setplays, they should be able to shade this by the odd goal.
