In the other half of the draw, Soderling faces his arch rival Federer once again. But yesterday, the swede was involved in a testing three setter against the flambuoyant Tsonga but ultimately, he triumphed 6-1 in the last set. Everyone knows playing Federer really is an uphill task but for Soderling, he never seems to find an answer to his game against the former world number one. Both players have power groundstrokes in their armery but when these two do match up, Soderling commits way too many unforce errors when he take the extra bit of risks at the back of the court.

The tall build Soderling is not that great with his soft hands, and that is why he feels uncomfortable going up to the net.
