Watford are flying high at the moment as Malky McKay continues to prove the doubters wrong. It certainly wasnt one of the teams we expected to be up there in the running for epl football at the start season but with the turn of the year just�around the corner its pretty clear Watford are contenders.

That was a terrific win at QPR- who are probably the best side in the league. Watford passed them off the park scoring 3�fine goals and controlling about 70 mins of that game.

Cardiff are on a really poor run at the moment but managed to sneak a 2-0 win over Cov the other day. Dave Jones wont be too worried about the fact his side didnt play so well- they needed that result to calm a few nerves.

I would say out of all the top sides in this league Cardiff have the best forwards. When you can afford to bring in class like Bellamy it obviously helps. Watford do have a lot of quality in attack too and they are one of the top scorers in this league.

But for 2 of the best sides im not sure either has the quality in defence to make sure of one of the top spots and top level football. Both teams do gift a lot of goals from set plays and neither is that confident or experienced in the centre backs positions.
