Liverpool vs Aston Villa

This sports betting tip was written by spkutano on December 6th, 2010 at 19:44

Probable starting eleven:

Liverpool:
Reina, Johnson, Kyrgiakos, Skrtel, Konchesky; Kuyt, Meireles, Lucas, Maxi; Ngog, Torres

Aston Villa:
Friedel; L Young, Dunne, Collins, Warnock; Clark, Hogg; Pires, Ireland, Downing; Agbonlahor

There will be lot of emotions at Anfield tonight. The reason is Gerard Houllier. He was Liverpool manager before Rafa Benitez and now is coming at Anfield as Aston Villa boss. And Liverpool fans will probably give a warm welcome to him, just like they did with every ex-Liverpool man (except Michael Owen of course). But I think Houllier will be forced to leave the points at Anfield. Liverpool played the last home matches very solid. Three victories in the three home games (plus a victory over Napoli in UEFA Europe League) are surely a good sign:

20.11. Liverpool - West Ham 3:0
07.11. Liverpool - Chelsea 2:0
24.10. Liverpool - Blackburn 2:1

The second reason for my pick is the situation in Aston Villa. Even Liverpool have some missing players too (Gerrard, Caragher and Agger), I think Aston Villa handicap is bigger as Stiliyan Petrov, Fabian Delph, Steve Sidwell, Barry Bannan, Marc Albrighton, Nigel Reo-Coker and Emile Heskey are out due to injuries, while Ashley Young is suspended.

Finally the tradition is on Liverpool side. Aston Villa have only one victory in the last 17 league games.

Pick : Home win
