Top 2 sides in the premiership meet tonight and im backing Irish to take the points.

Saints are clearly a terrific side to watch with one of the best backlines in european rugby. But they will be missing a couple of players due to the international matches this weekend. Im not so sure we can say they have the defence at the moment to really challenge for the title but what they do have is a lot of confidence and players that believe in their ability and that of the coachs.

Irish have not quite hit the form of last season and were quite disappointing when losing to Wasps last week. I actually see that as quite a good thing from a betting point of view- it will have meant a week of tough training with the players desperate to put things right. There is no doubting the quality of this side- they went so close last year- and� when that backline fired they can be unstoppable.

Freezing cold weather, 2 sides with huge respect for each other, we are probably going to see a tight low scoring game thats decided by kicking goals or even the odd bit of magic or break. I think Irish have a little edge though. They look stronger in defence with more players that know whats needed to win the toughest fixtures and having lost to Wasps should be really fired up to put things right.
