Saints gave Celtic a real fright on Wednesday, coming back from 3-0 down to almost force extra time. The Perth side did have plenty of chances to square the match but couldnt manage to find the goal they probably deserved. It was an excellent game though- as expected- and while Celtics defence is still hopeless it does make for end to end games with plenty of excitement.

The start Celtic made to that tie was outstanding. 3-0 up in about 12 mins- all 3 were very taken too Stokes grabbed a couple. There is no problems for Celtic in attack- Maloney also comes back into the squad and we now how talented he is.

But their defence was once again all over the place gifting Saints 2 really soft goals- as they did v Rangers in the old firm game. One from a dreadful mistake by Loovens and the other a free header at a corner. I have to say i find it amazing how many times you see Celtics centre halfs fail to challenge for high balls or cross balls.

Its a totally different game than midweek but even so i think Saints will look to attack Celtic and put them under pressure. You always fancy Celtic to score goals- against any side- but they have not kept a clean sheet since the start of Sept. I dont think that will change in Perth because the Saints are a dangerous side at home with a lot of height and power at set plays. They will also be hurting a little from losing that match in midweek and missing out on a cup semi.
