Having lost the old firm game and the lead at the top of the spl this looks a very tricky tie for Neil Lennons side with the pressure right on their rookie manager.

As usual with Celtic the referee took the blame for the fact they handed Rangers victory at the weekend. It wasnt down to the shocking defending, the fact big money buys didnt perform, or the lack of bottle in the side, it was because the referee didnt do his job well enough.

They have huge problems Celtic. Maybe they wont admit it but it is clear there has been a lot of money wasted by this manager and the previous manager. Going forward there is goals in the side and plenty of players that can create- at the back they look as though they will lose goals any time teams attack.

Saints made a poor start to the new spl season but maybe that was to be expected after doing so well in their 1st year in the top flight. We have seen them recover well with 3 wins in the last 5 so the Saints now sit midtable.

He really has done a terrific job McIness. Very little experience but he has proved already that he is one of the top managers in Scotland and it is no surprise to hear English clubs are looking at him. A top 6 finish is to be expected this season but im sure the ex Rangers midfielder would love to take his side to Hampden for a cup final.

Celtic always entertain so im pretty sure we can say the Hoops will grab a goal in this game even if its another poor performance or result. Going forward is not the problem that back 5 is.

Saints will take the game to Celtic in this cup tie- they will believe at home there is every chance of knocking them out. Remember Rangers went on an amazing unbeaten run last season only to be crushed here 4-1 in one of the shocks of the season.

I think Saints can get some joy with set plays and corners. They do have plenty of height and players that will attack the ball in the air- as we seen at Hamilton on Saturday with the 1st goal.

Celtic do not defend crosses or corners at all well and to be honest their keeper also looks a very nervous man at the moment.
