This one looks an open game with both teams trying to get off to a flyer so im expecting an open game.

Its interesting that the bookies make this a pretty much even split, 6/4 6/4 for either side to win. I think that shows you how far this nation have come and how they have improved in recent seasons. A lot more of these guys from Lithuania are playing in top leagues like Russia and Spain so maybe this coach is correct when he says he does not fear Scotland and believes they can qualify.

Scotland were hammered in Sweden, everything that could have gone wrong did. Our players didnt defend well and were totally outplayed by a good but not amazing home side. Levein certainly has some problems in defence- thats why hes decided to recall Davie Weir of Rangers- the guy is 40 years old and very slow so he will be tested.

I do think Scotland have goals in the side. There is some quality with McFadden, Miller, Brown, and even Dorrens. We tend to make chances away from home but the real worry is the defence. McManus partners Weir and i have to say hes not a player i have confidence in. Very poor on cross balls and fires into some crazy tackles.

Both sides need to win this game to have any chance of qualifying so i think we will get a open game with both going for the win. I expect chances and goals at both ends but i wont be surprised if it turns into another bad night for Scotland. The defence is weak and ofcourse there is almost a side full of Rangers players that failed here in the CL qualifer a couple of years back.
