Manchester City vs Liverpool

This sports betting tip was written by spkutano on August 23rd, 2010 at 20:37

Probable starting eleven:

Manchester City:
Hart; Richards, Kolo Toure, Kompany, Zabaleta; Yaya Toure, De Jong; Milner; Tevez, Balotelli, Silva.

Liverpool:
Reina; Johnson, Carragher, Skrtel, Aurelio; Mascherano, Poulsen; Kuyt, Gerrard, Jovanovic; Torres.

My opinion is that Manchester City is closer to victory against Liverpool at home. First of all, Manchester City have bigger budget. Arap owners are spending enormous sum of money in order to reach the title. Manager Roberto Mancini have every year over 100 million pounds for new players. This summer was no exception at all. Silva from Valencia and Balotelli from Inter are most known players that signed for City this summer. On contrary, Liverpool is not in such position. They played the worst possible season and they failed to win any trophy last year. Even more, they failed to secure UEFA Champions League place. Fans are frustrated, ex manager Rafa Benitez leave the club and join Inter. One of the best players Javier Mascherano is just one step from Barcelona. The best striker Fernando Torres is spending more time injured then on the pitch. Captain Steven Gerrard is just a shadow of the player that we use to see. The first round game against Arsenal was big. First Joe Cole received red card in the first half and Liverpool was forced to play with 10-men almost 50 minutes. Then Daniel Agger received a direct shot in the head and probably will be out for some time. And finally, goalkeeper Pepe Reina received a funny goal.

I believe Manchester City will win here. Home ground is big advantage for them, they will strongly attack Liverpool. And I doubt Liverpool is able to resist. As I already wrote, Torres was injured and he is far from desired form. I don't expect something special from him. And Liverpool have no other quality striker. Even N'Gog scored a goal against Arsenal, it is clear he has no quality to play in team like Liverpool. Manager Roy Hodgson will probably try to stay unbeaten, but I doubt.

Pick : Home win
