Tottenham get their first taste of UEFA Champions League action ever on Tuesday evening after they kick off the Premiership campaign against Manchester City on Saturday at 12:45, looking to beat the Young Boys of Switzerland en route to the first round proper.

Young Boys are someone that the English will not take lightly especially after the Swiss knocked out the Turkish side Fenerbache in the second round of qualifying. But it was just a narrow 1-0 defeat, so Tottenham will need to put on pressure early on.

Tottenham have a good side in the middle of the park with Huddlestone, Palacios, Jenas, Modric, Krancjar, Bentley, Lennon, Bale, Sandro and O'Hara which would give them plenty of attacking options going forward to score.

Defensively is where Tottenham could struggle a bit with Ledley King and Jonathan Woodgate struggling with injuries, it will be upto Kaboul, Bassong, Dawson to fill in the middle of the park with Corluka, Assou-Ekotto, Naughton and Hutton to fill in at the full back spots.

Tottenham will rely heavily this season on Jermain Defoe and Pavlyuchenko to push the ball up front, which gives them a pacey and deadly counter attacking front line who are always poaching for goals.
