Norwich City vs Watford

Norwich City will be looking to continue their success from last season when they won League 1 despite some ups and downs throughout the season. They have worked well under manager Paul Lambert whose record reads 32-9-9.
Coming into this season he has managed to hold on to the squad with which he came up to the Championship and managed to make more additions to the squad with the likes of Simeon Jackson and David Fox.
Star forward Grant Holt who banged in 24 goals last season is slight doubt for participating in this fixture due to a court hearing earlier this afternoon, but should make it just in time. Additionally Chris Martin had been equally good with 17 goals and should be able to hold the front line.
Watford on the other hand nearly escaped relegation last season through a 16th place finish and with their financial troubles, many are tipping them to go down this season without much of a fuss. Their opening game is an away trip to Norwich City, where travelling has been a major part of their losses last season. Watford additionally have lost a lot of players last season especially their top players from last season Henri Lansbury and Tom Cleverley, and haven't been able to replace him.
Norwich City should be able to begin a good season with a solid victory at home against a lowly Watford side.
