That was a huge result for St Helens last week and i expect them to build on that by running in a nice score against Salford.

I did think Wigan would win last weeks derby game. They were the inform side playing in front of their own fans but i suppose i should have known not to write off a great side like Saint Helens.

It was a close one but Saints deserved it and sent out a message to every side in the league. We are still the side to beat despise some indifferent form earlier in the season.

Salford result last week also surprised me. The Reds had picked a couple of wins and did seem as though there was a chance of play off football but that defeat pretty much ends it. The result will have hurt the coach and his players because Cas were on a really bad run and it was Salfords chance to draw level with them.

Just 5 wins this season for the Reds in 18 games. Although one of they wins did come over Saints. It was the shock of the season so far but to be fair Saints simply didnt fancy that game. At home there is no chance of Saints not being up for this- more so after a derby win.

The gap at the top can be cut to just 2 points so im expecting a real top class performace from St Helens. All their big players are back fit and the attack is on good form. We seen them crush Hull Kr here recently and to be fair to Morgan and his side the Rovers didnt play too badly.

Saints have so much power up front while Salford are not the best in there. The weather is perfect- which Saints love- so once the forwards get on top i really cant see that Salford goal line defence keeping out the likes of Roby and Pryce.
