South Africa v Mexico

both teams to score.
opening games of the world cup can be very tight but these are 2 sides who are trying to play attacking football so il go for both to score.
south africa will obviously have the entire country behind them and those supporters are going to make some amount of noise. 90,000 fans will pack the ground and give their heroes full backing in the hope they can get off to a flyer.
they are scoring a lot of goals in warm up games. i know we cant read too much into the type of opposition sa have faced recently but scoring goals and winning games brings confidence. unbeaten since last oct they beat denmark recently and we know they won swedens group.
mexico looked a classy side in the recent friendly with england. they lost it 3-1 but anyone who seen the game knows mexico were certainly the better footballing side and looked more dangerous in attack. sadly for them they also looked hopeless at cross balls and set plays so that has to be a huge worry and a tactic every side they face in south africa will use.
this one looks end to end to me , i dont see either side sitting back trying to play safe and take a point. the fans of the home nation simply wont allow it while mexico are a side which are built to attack and cannot play counter attacking or defensive. should be a good game.
