South Africa vs Mexico

South Africa are finally hosting the first World Cup on African soil and as fitting with every World Cup, the hosts kick off the first game of the tournament.
The South Africans have been getting a lot of practice ahead of this tournament, more than any previous hosts before as they did not have to qualify to participate in this tournament, and have manage to thrash out some decent performances. South Africa though are still the weakest team in their group with Uruguay, France and Mexico there, it should be a battle between these 3 to secure their position in the knockout phases of this World Cup.
Mexico have been able to put on some sterling performance and have even impressed me during their loss against England for the type of attacking play that the have dished out against them. They have the former Atletico Madrid manager in Javier Aguirre behind them who leads a cast of certain experienced and young players which gives them a perfect blend.
Rafael Marquez and Blanco will be the experienced players from previous World Cups who would be there to share their experience and once again lead Mexico to the 2nd round. However the man to watch will be Javier Hernandez, who just move to Manchester United, and has been in sensational scoring touch in the international friendlies leading up to this game.
This game should be Mexico's, but we can't rule out the crazy home cheering in the first World Cup match with an expected crowd of 90,000+, and that why I back Mexico to win on the Asian Line.
