Salernitana: as they are already relegated down to Lega Pro, the former Italian Serie C, Salernitana won't have much to play for in the last Serie B match day. The team from Salerno earned only seventeen points in the 41 games played so far and thus they sit at the last place of the Serie B standings. It has been a terribly bad season for Salernitana and maybe they will want to give the supporters at least a home win in order to make the situation a bit less bitter. But it won't be easy as the opponents, Vicenza, are in need of points to avoid the relegation.

Vicenza: as they still aren't sure not to be relegated, Vicenza will have to put a good fight on Sunday in Salerno, against Salernitana. Vicenza earned so far 50 points in the 41 Serie B games played so far and thus they are sitting at the seventeenth place of the league table. They have the same amount of points of Triestina and this means that they need to overcome the team from Trieste in order to avoid the playouts. Gaining at least one point from this game would be a good start, but winning it and running away with three points would be even better.
