Lecce: it looks like Lecce is now rather tired as they once again didn't manage to celebrate the Serie A promotion. They are still the top contenders for earning a Serie A spot for the next season, but a home loss against Sassuolo would most likely mean a sensational "demotion" to the promotion playoffs and that would be tough to accept after spending most of the season sit on the top of the Serie B standings. Top seed Lecce has now 74 points in 41 games played so far, thus having a 2 points advantage over Brescia and 3 over Cesena.

Sassuolo: with a good 3-2 home win over Empoli during the latest Serie B match day, the team led by Stefano Pioli is now the fourth seed of the league table, with 68 points earned in the 41 games played so far. Goalkeeper Walter Bressan, Masucci, Valeri and Consolini won't be travelling South to Lecce as they are all sidelined with injuries. But Stefano Pioli will count again on Jonathan Rossini, who recovered from his injury and will be available for the Sunday Serie B game. Sassuolo is mathematically qualified for the promotion playoffs, but they might be hunting for points in order to have a bigger chance to get some home field advantage during the post season.
