Cordoba has continued in the last round a series of appalling matches out of home. On the Carlos Belmonte stadium Cordoba was beaten 0:3 with the best hat trick of the scorer, Cristiano Albacete Stuania. Since they failed to win a single goal, they remained the least competent team with miserable 9 goals in 19 games. When playing at home Archangel Stadium, it is quite a different story. They have reached the score of 10 won matches, 6 draws and only 3 defeats, with only a goal-difference 26:13. Even though not particularly efficient, when they are playing at home, the defense is impeccable and the result is only 13 received goals. In matches with the Cartagena, they have something worse score, but there were not many games played, either. Cordoba won once, Cartagena twice, and twice there was a draw with goal-difference 7:7. In the last 6 games, Cordoba has had a bad series of one win, one draw and four defeats with a lousy goal-difference 4:12. On Saturday, their guests will be the team which is one of the candidates for entry into Primera in the fall, so it is most likely that a single goal will decide a winner.

Cartagena led 2:1 at halftime in the last round, against the direct competitor for the top 3 of Levante, and it was like that up to 55th minute. And then, both the players and fans experienced a real shock! In just 15 minutes, the experienced Levante turned the result to 2:5 which was afterwords just a bit mitigated by Jose Verde Nicolas, and the final score came up as 3:5. The match was a real derby, with 11 yellow and 2 red cards. So, in that way Cartagena has, with two consecutive defeats, reduced the chance of placement om the top of the table. In the duels with Cordoba they currently have a better score. They won twice, two times they played drawn and they suffered defeat once. In the first part of the current championship the score was 0:0. Coach Juan Ignacio Martinez will have to regain somehow the self-confidence for his team, for the next match. If Cartagena has plans for Primera in the fall, it cannot lose the match with Cordoba, since in the next round it will have again a derby at home, with one of the candidates for entry into the elite Spanish league, Hercules.
