Wigan vs Chelsea - Football - England - Premier League - Tip Preview

First of all i have to say that i see Chelsea being the Premiership title winners this season.Philipe Scolari has changed the face of the team.While last season we saw a Chelsea team that would score one goal and defend the lead, now we see a more offensive Chelsea which goes for as many goal as they can get, well at least untill they have put the result of the match beyond any doubt. As i said, last season Chelsea had the wrong tactics but still the talent and abilities of the players got them to the Champions League final and also made the fight for the title last season a very tight one.Taking in consideration the changes, i see them favorites for the title for the champions league. But first they have to face Wigan. Wigan is the team that was in the fight to avoid relegation last season and by the look of it, they just might be fighting to avoid relegation this season as well. The first round saw Chelsea take 3 points in a confident manner, 4-0 against Portsmouth.Wigan on the other side started the season with a loss, 2-1 against West Ham. Now the way i see this match, Chelsea will be all fired up from minute 1.Let's not forget Wigan is a team the got a draw from Stanford Bridge last season.A lucky draw that with the help of a late goal.Back then Chelsea was in a tight fight with Manchester United, and every point was crucial.As far as i remember Chelsea dominated that match, but ofcourse some things have changed since then, but i see all the changes being in Chelsea's favor. Wigan will miss defenders Edman and Taylor, while Chelsea will be without D. Drogba. Overall i see Chelsea taking the 3 points here.A wrong move here at the start of the season would be a disaster, especially if we take in consideration the Manchester United suffers from squad problems in these first matches, while Liverpool and Arsenal have shown that they are not at full potential. A 1.44 odd offered by Ladbrokes is more that i would have hoped for. Chelsea to win!
