Netherlands vs Russia - Football - Euro 2008 - Tip Preview

Turkey came as the underdog in yesterday's match against Croatia, and yet again managed to score a goal in the closing minutes and in the end progressed to the semi-finals.Today, Russia is a similar situation as they have to face Netherlands. As most of you already know, Netherlands is one of the most in-form teams from this edition of the Euro.The finished the group stage on first place.They outplayed the World Cup finalists, France and Italy, both matches won by a 3 goals difference and won against Romania too with a 2-0 score.They look like a strong team and could go all the way here.Sneijder and Robben look to be playing very well, while strikers R.V. Nistelrooy and V. Persie are managing to find the goal more often than usual. Russia on the other side, started the tournament with a 4-1 defeat with Spain, after which they got back on track with a 1-0 win over Greece and secured a position in the quarter finals with a win over Sweden.Russia's strongest weapon is the way the players relate on the pitch.It's like they have been playing together ever since the world began.Only they do have a lot of misses.The 1-0 score with Greece and the 2-0 score with Sweden could easily have been both a 4-0 win for Russia, but the way the strikers treat some chances, worries me. At a first look at this match i said that both team have almost equal chances of qualifying to the next round, but when i took a closer look a have to go with the Netherlands.They have more experienced players that overcome any obstacle and the passion is there.The Netherlands players know that it's time for them to obtain something from this European Championships. I took the 1.4 odds for Netherlands to qualify offered by Betfred.To be honest i expect at least 1.5 or something like that.I feel that the 1.4 odd does not have much value but this time only i'm willing to take it.Maybe some of you could take it live or in-play for a higher odds.Good Luck!
