The Denver Nuggets are on the back of a 6 game win streak without coach George Karl and the team have been working hard to lead the way in his absence. Adding to that they are 3-0 on their current road trip with solid performances against Memphis, New Orleans and Minnesota.

Carmelo Anthony has been contributing a lot to the team in terms of the rebounding along with the "BIRDMAN" Chris Andersen in the absence of Kenyon Martin, who is out with injury. From the scoring front, the usual suspects are there to contribute in terms of JR Smith, Billups, Afflalo and Nene.

The 2 previous match ups between the 2 teams have gone Denvers way with Nuggets winning by 10 points and 5 points and coupled with good performances in their recent form should be nothing short of a the WIN tonight.

The Rockets have put a small win streak themselves of 2 games but they were against strugglers Washington, New Jersey and a win in Minnesota 2 games before that. They have failed to impact against serious opposition but their lack of size is more then compensated for their transition play led by Aaron Brooks.

However, Brooks will come up against a much better defender in Chauncey Billups who is likely to cause problems for Rockets point guard tonight. The Rockets will be turning to Kevin Martin tonight and unless Afflalo and JR Smith have something to say about it, it could go either way.
