One of the most interesting games in Premier league. Wigan is involved in relegation battle, while Liverpool is fighting for UEFA Champions league place. Wigan have two advantages – they are playing home, in front of their own fans and they will be satisfied even with a draw. Liverpool on other side is in quite different position. They must win in order to sit on fourth place. They will have two points more in such case (even one game more from Manchester City, but from psychological point of view it will be important to reach that fourth place).

I don’t see many goals here. Wigan will surely play very defensive and try to take something more through fast counter attacks. Liverpool will control the game as they have more experienced players in midfield like Gerrard, Mascherano and others, but that’s not mean victory. Liverpool best striker Fernardo Torres is back in the team, but he is not one hundred percent ready yet. He was injured and he will need more time.

Both teams are incomplete for this match. Wigan couch Roberto Martinez has concerns in front of tonight game over Charles N'Zogbia and midfielder Paul Scharner. Rafa Benitez will must play without injured Glen Johnson, Martin Skrtel and Fabio Aurelio.

So, it is hard to predict if Liverpool will win or this match will end with a draw. I don’t believe Wigan is able to win. That is why I am going with Under 2.5 goals on this match.
