If we take a look at the odds for this match we will see that the bookmakers don't really know who the favorite is.They rate the two teams with equal chances of winning the match.I'm sure that if Switzerland wasn't one of the host countries the odds would have been a little bit in the Czech Republic's favor.So, the support of fans will be a factor.But let's take a look at the players the two teams have and what their potential is. The Swiss nationals team has one strong weapon if you ask me and that is the defense.They got excellent defenders that make is difficult for any forward to score a goal let alone the Czech Republic that showed some problems, during the last friendly games, when it came to taking a chance and scoring a goal.They have had great possession and managed to pass the ball easy in a way that showed their confidence but they find the goals with difficulty. Tranquillo Barnetta will be available for this match along with Patrick Mueller, so some good news for the Swiss side. On the Czech side Marek Jankulovski and Tomas Ujfalusi have confirmed that they will be fit to play for this opening match. As far as the teams go both will be composed on the team we already know. Here is a paragraph from the bbc website. "Switzerland have not conceded a goal in competitive matches since 16 November 2005, when they lost a World Cup qualifier against Turkey 4-2. Switzerland have not won any of their previous six matches at the European Championship." If we analyze the first statement we have to say that sooner or later Switzerland will have to concede a goal.And the second statement puts Switzerland's ability into doubt.And in a way the two statements are connected.So that is something to think about. I see this match as a tight one and i was thinking of taking under 2.5 goals, but the odds represent no value so i decided that a Czech Republic win with draw no ball or 0 asian handicap is the best way to go.The 2.02 odds are just fantastic in my opinion and i simply can't miss them.I have placed a medium stake.Good Luck!
