Rangers v Celtic

Over 6.5 cards.

Rangers meet Celtic in a vital old fim game and im expecting a busy day for the referee.

There is always loads of pressure on the referee in these games but things have been made a lot tougher for Dougie Mcdonald as celtic informed the media about a meeting with the sfa over decisions which have gone against them this season.

To be fair they have had a couple of bits of bad luck but their main problem is a poor manager and a waffer thin defence.

Rangers have a lead at the top- a healthy lead- so lets be blunt a home win and the title is pretty much over even at this early stage.

I do like the choice of ref for this game, McDonald. He is a referee who has a very high card count in recent years and to be honest i think he quite enjoys the spotlight and all the attention. Its certainly not the official i would have picked for this game.

These games always have flashpoints and both teams love to show the fans they are committed and will take a yellow card for the club.

Its sure to be very tasty right from the start and although 7 cards in a game is a lot- its not really for a fixture like this one. Its such an impotant game for Celtic- they cannot afford to lose- but also Rangers are said to be raging about the way Celtic have behaved this week.

This ref done the 1st old firm game at celtic park at the start of last season. There was 2 red- 1 each side- plenty of yellows- he was a bit quick with those cards in my opinion and there was a point when he was losing control. I can see anything other than plenty of cautions in this game because of the importance of it and the atmosphere which will be electric.

over 6.5 cards in the game

there must be 7 cards or more in total. either red or yellow.
