Athletic went to 7th position after they were defeated 2-1 by Villarreal last weekend. They will be confident and try to get all three points against the new-comers on Sunday evening. Bilbao have a competitive workforce and coach Caparros’ duty is to get the maximum performance out of his players. Led by striker Fernando Llorente and Bilbao legend Joseba Etxeberria, Los Leones finished a disappointing thirteenth last season, only two points above a possible relegation place. But this season is different and they have been playing very well especially at San Mames.  Tenerife have returned to the Primera division after several years in the second and they are actually in 18th place and in the relegation zone. They have had problems in front of goal and have scored only eighteen times. Despite a few summer transactions, the fate of Tenerife falls on the two forwards Nino and Alfaro. If they can combine and score like last year, Tenerife should be a favorite to stay in the Primera. But their away form is poor and they have picked up only two points away from home.
