Los Colchoneros drew 1-1 with Racing Santander away from home in their last league match. Atletico are hoping home advantage can help level out the playing field. They are in 12th place but their aim before the start of the season was a Champions League place. Making anything other than the CL places means Atletico’s campaign will be seen as a disaster. There’s no doubting that they have one of the strongest attacks in world football, any team would be blessed to have a combination of Aguero, Forlan, Simao and Reyes.  Barcelona are still unbeaten in 21 Primera Division games and are actually five points ahead of their big rivals Real Madrid. They have a first team of the highest quality and the youngsters to fill in when legs become tired. And they have Lionel Messi, the man who can change a game with a moment of brilliance. Barca had taken a somewhat different approach in their summer dealings.
