This is the big Merseyside derby, one of the hottest in England. For those who do not know, Merseyside is the river in Liverpool that divides the city in two parts - traditionally one part is for Liverpool and the other for Everton fans.

Lets back to football. Both teams are far from expectations. Liverpool play their worst season in the last twenty years, and even Everton is not far from it. I think that at this meeting we wont see the winner, but if I must pick which team is closer to victory, then it is definitlly Everton. Liverpool can not win such game without Torres, and we can't underestimate Benayoun and Johnson absences too. Captain Gerrard is back after injury, but he is far from the necessary form. Probably he is not prepared 100%, but couch Benitez has no other option.

Everton on the other hand improved the form. Everton remain undefeated in guest appearances against Arsenal and Chelsea, and I believe it could happen again at Anfield. Bearing in mind that three of the last four meetings at Anfield ended in draws, I think it wont be surprise if Everton stay unbeaten today too. Here are the results:

As conclusion, I think we will see hard battle, many fouls, yellow cards, maybe even some red card too. In such situation the crucial factor will be Torres absence, as well as Benayoun and Johnson. That is why I am thinking Liverpool can't win here. The draw is most probable outcome, but I decide to take more safer option, Everton +0.5. Because is some team are closer to victopry, then it is Everton.
