Barcelona went up to 1st place after they beat El Clasico at Camp Nou. They are still unbeaten in seventeen Primera Division games. The hosts are a team who strike fear into the hearts of all because they still produce spectacular football. Many teams wait until they have lost or drawn before making statements about learning from games after a particularly good run but Barca are doing the opposite. It is this mentality which means that they rarely give up a game as lost. They were surprisingly knocked out by Sevilla at Copa Del Rey this week. But Barca were the better team in these cup games.  Sevilla are in 5th place behind Barcelona, Real, Valencia and Deportivo. The visitors are a great team, fast, agile and in great physical condition. There is still a positive atmosphere amongst Manolo Jimenez’s squad, but their form has been going slightly downhill in the last few league rounds. After their win over Barca in Copa del Rey, they were defeated by Atletico Madrid and by Racing Santander. Sevilla believe they will be successful in this important match against the leaders in the league. It will not be an easy game for them, but they will try to pick up at least one point at Camp Nou.  I think Barcelona will win by more than one goal… home win with hcp and over 2,5 goals.
