To win the masters

Selby to win the tournament.

Ive seen a fair bit of this event and i have to admit ive not been that impressed by the standard. Ronnie is short fav to win for obvious reasons- best player in the world- at home crowd behind him and already in the semi finals. But he has not quite been at his best and as always with Ronnie you get the feeling his mind and lack of discipline could be his worst enemy.

The one player left who has the game to beat him is Selby. I love his style. Very laid back, never lets a bad shot effect him and scores heavily almost every time he gets in. His safety game is probably better than Ronnies too and that is ofcourse going to be vital when they no doubt clash,

We seen him totally hammer Ding in the early rounds and as everyone knows Ding is one of the best players in the world at the moment.

Looking at the players left i dont see any chance of the likes of Williams winning this. Yes he seems to be getting a bit closer to form but will never get anywhere near the standard which won him the World Championship. To be honest i dont think he cares enough about the game.

Allen got a great result over Higgins but i cant see him going all the way and both McGuire and Day are far too inconsistant even over one session over snooker.

With Ronnie odds on now thats why i bet on Selby i believe he is great value and will have no problems booking his place in the semi final by beating Allen tonight.
