There is an outside chance that either side could make it to the last 8 of the HC but im pretty sure both manager would accept that its not going to happen and a place in the CC is about as good as it will get.

That should make for a more open game with each side being a bit more expansive and throwing it around.

Glasgow are always a terrific side to watch at home. Their record at Firhill is up there with some of the top clubs in europe, sadly their record on the road is as poor as the worst and that is why there is why their campaign is all but over.

Still Parks is back and we know what a quality kicker and organiser the little guy is. He can score from just about any position for a penalty in the other half and guides the side around the park superbly. He is going to be a huge loss when he leaves for Cardiff Blues.

Newport have also been a lot better to watch this season- well that wouldnt be hard having seen their style in the past. The manager has changed that though and we are seeing much nicer rugby and them taking more chances. It has cost them more points at the other end but then i think fans down there are happier depsite the fact it wont be bringing home silverware this year.

Both sides should have a real go here and with the weather now cleared up we should see a very open game with plenty of scores.
