Although I was completely wrong about Baghdatis match, after seeing it I bumped into some additional thoughts to this pretty big bet. Berdych was crazy in their clash. He was confident, pulling some massive serves and also returning some really hard balls from Cypriot. Forehand was firing from any position on court, standing, running, it was a huge damage dealer, he played well enough to put an idea in my head that he is able to be first ATP title winner in new decade. He got quality of top player and still is kind of underdog in Brisbane against names like Stepanek or Roddick, but I think those big names are still a little bit rusty, even Czech friend Radek, who is defending title here from the last year. In next round Tomas will face Brazilian Bellucci and I don't see much chances for youngster even if Berdych will drop down 20% of his power from match with Baghdatis. Firepower is huge and I think player like Bellucci will be overpowered easily. It should be a quick match for Czech, especially in such hot steaming form and with fact that Thomaz was struggling against Levy in last round. In semifinal probably the biggest challenge, both mentally and physically as probably we will see him against Andy Roddick. Roddick still don't convince me with his game, I mean, he is focused, plays good and I can't say much bad stuff about him, it just his mind seems to be already fixed on Oz Open and in hard pushover I don't think he will stretch to win this tittle at all cost. It will be very hard still, as both poses great fire opportunities and it will be a real battle, I think Berdych playing on higher or same level like with Baghdatis will be able to take out Roddick, who looks more rusty in the very first week of new season. In the final I feel either Stepanek or Monfils. I have doubts in Monfils after watching him in last round and I think old fox like Stepanek will break his spirit and sneak into final. Czech's clash will be a tricky one too, Stepanek is regular and have pretty annoying style, very classy. Berdych will have to think a lot, focus on very precise passes when older Radek will rush the net to finish with the volley, although with returns I saw with Baghdatis I think he will be able to set exchanges on safe zone and won't give Stepanek too much easy points. Well, what can I say, I see value in odds 6.50-7.00 and later on probably they will dramatically drop, or Berdych had one match rush and will lose his head even against Bellucci. Hopefully not and I got right feeling about his chances and powers in Brisbane. Good luck!
