Rangers are on fine form having hammered Motherwell last week, beaten Dundee United at tannidice and easily swept aside Saints. 12 goals in 3 games the Gers are looking a good bet for the spl this season and with Walter Smith now picking a far more attacking side we are seeing the best from guys like Beasley and Novo. 2 wide players with 2 quality strikers makee Rangers are very tough side to stop, they are not defending too badly either.

Hibs beat Aberdeen last weekend. Maybe it wasnt a vintage performance but its a venue Rangers lost at. Hughes has done a super job there but it should be of little surprise to anyone who watched his sides at Falkirk- they were always good to watch and now he is working with players of a slightly higher standard.

Both sides are on good form but i dont see this being a great game there is too much at stake. If Hibs are to have a chance of winning they need to stop Rangers playing. Fire into tackles, upset them, make it clear from the start they wont be steamrolled the way Utd were a couple of weeks back. If that means picking up some cards so be it.

Rangers though are a side who know how to look after themselves and they do have one or two players who like that physical battle. 3 reds this season for Rangers its really high when you think of the fact they are the champions and the side at the top of the table.

I like the choice of ref for this game- Brines- he just loves those tv camaras and being part of the action.

Im expecting this be fast and furious and although i couldnt pick a team to bet on im happy to back the referee as cards seem a safer bet then which side will come out on top.
