The Hawks have been soaring and have not occupied a position as the Elite 4 in the Eastern Conference. Their performance against some of the top teams in the NBA this season, have really improved their credibility going forward. They are currently 19-6 and occupy top spot in the Southeast division ahead of the Orlando Magic as they have played one game less. Infact they are the 3rd best team in the NBA in terms of winning percentage after the Lakers and the Celtics. Their tremendous performance against the Jazz last night where they were down and won the game with a 30-6 run towards the end, saw that they beat the Jazz comfortably last night. The best thing about the Hawks is that they get contributions from all over their team. Josh Smith, Joe Johnson, Al Horford and Mike Bibby all played under 27 minutes last night which shows you the bench strength of the Hawks having Jamal Crawford, Maurice Evans and Zaza Pachulia leading the inexperienced youngsters. The Bulls on the other hand are still reeling in the massive loss they suffered last time out against the Hawks, and despite having a mediocre record of 9 and 15, they managed to get a win last time around against fellow strugglers the Knicks. The Bulls are struggling with injuries as well as players like Rose, Deng, Hinrich failing to find their scoring touch, which is one of the primary reasons why the Bulls are struggling. Atlanta should blow them out in this one as their team is really fresh using their whole squad in their win against the Jazz last night.
