I saw Sabres few times this season and in my humble opinion without phenomenal Millers as a first team goalkepper Buffalo is limping badly. As we dig up into the stats we can see what I mean. Miller pushes back over 90% of shots, but around 30 shots is always commenced on their pipes during every match. Miller average goals losing is 2 goals per match, so it's pretty good, but with the amount of shots defense let to happen on Miller's zone is scary and if he wouldn't be such a good goalkepper Buffalo definitely would be much lower in ranks than they are. In spite they are pretty high in the table they got one of the worse results as scoring team, I think they get 2-3 goals per match average. So basically their defense, mostly reliable on Miller is giving them pretty nice position, nothing else. Ok, so what happens when Miller is out? Loss 4-2 to Boston where Enroth was between the pipes, 5-3 loss to Ottawa when Lalime was doing Miller's job, and of course 4-2 loss to Atlanta and 5-0 to NY Islanders (I think he was playing partially in this match and still let go 2 or 3 goals. I think it's show how important point in Buffalo is Miller. As I looked up today from the first minute we will see Lalime between the pipes of Sabres and I think it might let down Sabres chances for good score here. Chicago this season also seems to be pretty top team, they also play well in defense but proved already they can be pretty effective in offense, for example 7 goals against Sharks or Calgary. I think they lately slowed down and need a win badly. Both play well in defense, but Sabres without Miller, I think it will be pretty equal but Lalime puts more chances on Blackhawks side. Go Chicago!
