My prediction was actually spot on last weekend when I correctly tipped Adam Scott to win his maiden tournament ton home soil after years of agony. In actual fact, I already had taken Scott even before the tournament started with the odds at a rewarding 17 for his win. After his first round, the odds for him plummeted to a low 7.4. It has been some time coming now that the out of form Australian finally win a tournament, ending a year of inconsistent results. The win last week helped him eased back into the top 50, which is a crucial mark for gaining entry to next year's Masters tournament.

The field for this week PGA Championship promises to be tougher than last week with Allenby, a winner at Nedbank, joins his fellow countryman. His participation will not really affect the outcome of the tournament because the 26th ranked Australian must be worn out with his travelling over the past few weeks. For this week, I will continue to tip Adam Scott to win again, mainly because his game was near to perfection even under gusty conditions at New South Wales a week ago.
