Australian Open

Adam Scott is evenly poised to grab his maiden Australian Open after missing out on it so many times already. Although it is still early, with a total of 54 holes yet to be completed, his recent game has really improved compared to that in the first half of the year. The young Australian has since fallen from world number 3 to a low of seventy-two few months back. But recently though, his performances are improving and this could be the turning point when he finally ends his drought, for a player of his caliber.
Scott was tied for third in the Singapore Open, whereby his sparkling back nine nearly gave him a chance of catching up with eventual winner Ian Poulter. Then in the JB Were Masters also played in Australia, he finished in a respectable joint-seventh. Following that, he notched up a tied for sixth finish in Dubai in one of the strongest field possible. The main positive point for Adam has been his improved his scoring, whereby he is finally shooting low numbers, which was almost like a distant past now. With him having played his first round in four under, and tournament favourite Geoff Ogivly faltering, chances of Adam winning this Sunday has increased.
