Again the two teams meet in the UEFA Champions League.Most of us remember what happened last season in the quarter-final tie when Roma won 2-1 at home, just to lose 7-1 on Old Trafford.This season they were in the same Group.This time both matches were tight.1-0 on Old Trafford for Manchester and 1-1 at Rome. I'm sure that this season will not have the same results as last season but i feel that the team that will manage to qualify will be again Manchester United. The first match will be played again in Rome.I'd rate this fact as the very bad one for Roma, because no matter what happens in the first match, no matter how good of a results Roma manage to obtain, Manchester always has the power to get back in the second leg at home, where they have the full support of their fans and when you know the the start of the match what result you need and you play at home, then you strong chances of reaching your goal. The worst part for Roma is the Totti is missing.It was hard with Totti, now it will be twice as hard.The is the team captain and he is the main goal man up front.The good news is that Vucinic is back and will take Totti's place up front.Daniele De Rossi, Simone Perrotta will also be available for this match. The way that i see this first match is that Roma's main concern will be not receiving any goals on home ground as this can prove fatal.I would say that they best that Roma can obtain from this match is a 2-0 score.But i just can see .A 0-0 would not be a very good score for Roma, and they will try to push for as many goals as possible, perfect moments for Manchester hit on the counter attack.They have players that have speed and talent. Roma's players will also have one thing in mind and that is revenge for what happened last season.But i don't think that will happen this year.They will be to concentrated at the idea of revenge and will not be able to concentrate on what is really going on. Roma don't have the quality to pass Manchester.Most say that the team is much better this year and they made a performance against Real Madrid.But Real Madrid isn't what it used to be.But that's another story.The main idea here is that Roma will have to play about 5 times better than they did against Real. Another fact is that Manchester had a great weekend in which they had a 4-0 win over Aston Villa, more like a training session rather than an actual match, and they also sit on the top of the Premier League.On the other side Roma had to struggle again in Seria A with Cagliari.They just don't seem to close the gap between them and Inter, and that must be very frustrating because i would rate Roma as the better, more compact team that Inter.But they just failed this season. So, to sum it up, i see Roma to show us a better performance than last season, but with Totti out for this first at home where they have the most chances of obtaining something, i will go with a Manchester United to qualify pick.They play the decisive game in Manchester and that will count a lot. The odds aren't that great, only 1.40 and i was thinking of taking the bet after the first match, in the hope of better odds, but i believe United will make a good result in the first leg and might settle the the qualification from the first match. Manchester to qualify at 1.40.
