Wenger has said he will continue with the youngsters even though their championship challenge took a serious blow at the weekend with the hammering from Chelsea. I would have thought this tourney becomes more important after that loss but we know how Wenger loves to give youth a chance and this was the cup which made Fabregas a star.

The Gooners certainly have plenty of skill and class in reserve with guys like Wiltshire and Ramsey sure to start.

Senderos and Silverstre will play in the back 4-but while they bring bags of experience there is a reason why both have not featured much this season.

City will be desperate to win this compeition, well the manager will be in the hope that it keeps him in the job. They have no chance of the epl and even a CL spot looks a big ask.

They cant defend- its simple as that. Despite spending a fortune on the 2 centre backs- Toure and Lescott- neither have looked that comfortable. The full backs, no matter who starts, seem to be even worse, Bridge has had a mare since he joined up with the light Blues.

Just 1 clean sheet in the last 10 league games, 19 goals lost, its just far too high. We aint seen them keep a clean sheet at home yet and when Burnley hit 3 goals its pretty obvious your defence aint good enough.

Man City do look strong going forward right enough and have the quality to score against anyone. Bellamy, Tevez, Adebayor and Ireland, these are top class attackers.

3 at Man Utd in amazing derby game and 4 against Arsenal when they visited on league duty back in Sept. 24 goals scored in the league, its as good as anyone outside the top 5.

This should be a really exciting game. I expect both managers to send their side out to attack and with neither looking solid at the back we should get 3 goals or more
