Massive game in the championship and one i dont expect many goals in.

Preston have not won in the last 3 but a result here would take them into the top 8. It is so tight in the championship that a matter of a few points covers about 10 teams. It really is the league where anyone can beat anyone as the sides are so closely matched.

Irvine has done a super job there- i wouldnt say they are a greatest side to watch- but they are well organised and tough to play against. Every time ive seen Preston ive been impressed by their fitness and how much desire these players have to win for that manager. They are good at getting men behind the behind and dont lose many goals at their place.

Only 5 goals scored in the last 6 games though, that is pretty low.

I expected Newcastle to scoot this league. The players the Toon can call on are very much of premiership standard but after a fine start we have seen them struggle a bit in the last month.

Hughton certainly deserved to get the job- but i think he can be very cautious and hes not quite getting the best from a talented squad. Just 3 goals scored last month and only 1 win.

Ofcourse the table says Newcastle are going well but im not sure about the football we are seeing from them at the moment. Its quite dull and certainly not the most entertaining. We seen a fantastic performance at Ipswich a couple of months back but since then it really aint been anything special.

They clearly need a goalscorer as the strikers are struggling.

This looks a very tough game to call and one that could well be a draw. The best bet for me is the unders though because i expect both to line up with a negative system and this to be a midfield scrap. If either side gets in front dont expect them to go for more goals-both coaches will believe 1 is enough to win.
